Abstract

|
We report a case of pernicious anemia associated with subacute combined
degeneration. It was diagnosed by bone marrow study, serum level of vitamine B12,
gastric juice analysis and gastrofiberscopy with biopsy, electromyography, and nerve
conduction test, with neurologic examinations in 59-year-old male patient.
On parenteral vitamin B12, the hematologic abnormalities are improved dramatically.
But, the neurologic symptoms were not aggravated and improved slowly.
